Capital One Resolution

Capital One direct mail piece i created. The cardboard backing inside would be plastic or wood, so the spoon wouldn't go all soggy like it would if i kept it as board.

Capital One Mock-up

Took this to the final crit and it was suggested i create some sort of support for the packages to go on, this way i could control how the audience receives my designs.

Wake up and smell the coffee

Wake up and smell the coffee - this is the message i am using for my direct mail package for Capital One. The idea is to get the package delivered i the morning so the audience will open it at breakfast and be presented with the "snap out it" feeling and after the initial impact to get their attention the information included will make the change to a Capital One credit card. They will also get a nice cup of coffee to drink while they read the information! :D

The images are examples of what i need to consider designing to print onto or relate to.

Dirct mail packages

For my Capital One research i came across several direct mail packages i found interesting, mainly because of the interaction with the audience, and getting them to interact with the concept, or because of the concept itself and simplicity. Also the types of stock the designer chose to print on, i like the neat little touch of printing onto a dog biscuit :D

Capital One Campaign

I came across these posters and i really like the cute illustrations! creates a friendly feel for the company.

pop-up direct mail

For the idea of "don't bury your head in the sand" i thought of creating a pop-up mail-shot, illustrating a customer with his/her head in the stand and the audience being able to pull them out of the sand to reveal the offers Capital One will be offering them.
